Welcome To Kingdom Acres Boer Goat Farm. 

We are located in Wilsonville Alabama which is in Shelby County. We are in Central Alabama about 15 miles off the I-65.

Our family started raising and showing Boer goats in 1999. We are Charles and Linda Merrell. Our children that are involved in the goat business are: Jennifer and Becky Williams and Tyler Merrell. Charles' oldest son, Eason Merrell and his wife Stacie and daughter Kinsey are also producers. My niece April's daughter, Savannah is showing for the first time in 2006.

We are very interested in helping the youth interested in meat goats. We feel strongly that animal projects can really benefit the youth by teaching them sportsmanship, responsibility and dedication.

Our breeding program heavily uses the genetics of EGGS, Hilltop, and Lazy L. We introduced Nubians into our percentage doe and wether program this year in an attempt to get bigger and flashier marked animals. Having a supply of goat milk will be nice too!

We bought a solid red, single teated buck from Holly McShane in 2007, Fern Hollow Power Play and our first kid crop consists of reds, paints and a couple of blacks. We have had 30 kids and only 3 traditionals.  We have shown many of these kids and have been quite successful.

In 2008, we purchased ENNOBLED EGGspert Marksman. He is a Cannon son and is the most beautiful buck we have ever owned. He is producing animals that can go out and win in the showring. Thanks so much to Julie Brown and Troy & Kim Veal for the opportunity to own such an animal.

Charles is on the ALFA Goat Committee State Board, the ALFA Shelby Country Board, and is Chairman of the ALFA Shelby County Goat Committee.  Becky is on the JABGA Board of Directors.
